Celebrate July 4th Around Town

Every year, when Independence Day approaches, we get excited to celebrate our patriotic spirit and express gratitude for our freedom by visiting one of many local July 4th celebrations around town. Whether you live on the Peninsula or the Southside of Hampton Roads, there are a variety of family-friendly events that are designed to suit every member or your family!

Even young kids can join in for fun and excitement at fireworks displays at Busch Gardens or in Norfolk’s waterfront park, Town Point Park. Live music at the Virginia Living Museum and a traditional flag ceremony kickoff at historical Fort Monroe are perfect for inspiring your patriotic spirit, and an evening of fun, food and fantastic fireworks at Victory Landing Park is the perfect way to finish the day for families who love to celebrate.

No matter how you like to recognize and celebrate your independence this July 4th, you’ll have somewhere to go and people to celebrate with when you head out on the town for any of these local July 4th celebrations!
